Ink & Earth Writer's Retreat 2027

In 2027, Ink & Earth returns with a series of intimate five-day writers’ retreats, each designed to give you what every writer craves: uninterrupted time, inspiring surroundings and the freedom to immerse yourself in your work.

Hosted at Elsewhere@Farakunku Eco Lodges on The Gambia’s beautiful Atlantic coast, each retreat welcomes a small number of guests, ensuring a peaceful, supportive and deeply restorative creative experience.

Our retreats run during the final week of each month throughout the season, beginning in January 2027 and concluding in April 2027.

Each retreat begins on Monday and concludes on Friday, allowing you to settle quickly into a productive rhythm while still leaving time to explore, rest and reconnect with your creativity.

Whether you’re drafting your first novel, refining a memoir, developing a screenplay or simply carving out dedicated time to write, Ink & Earth offers an environment where ideas have room to grow.

With just four beautifully appointed eco lodges nestled amongst tropical gardens alive with birdsong, places are intentionally limited to preserve the tranquillity that makes the retreat so special.
